Worldwide, the Vienna International Motor Symposium is regarded as a renowned conference in the field of internal combustion engines and drive train technology. For decades, this symposium has been a meeting place of the international world of engine experts. The 41st Vienna International Motor Symposium will be held on April 22nd - 24th, 2020 in the Hofburg Conference Centre in the Vienna Hofburg Palace. Outstanding lecturers from all over the world will present the latest findings in engine development and, amongst other topics, will report on Latest Results in Worldwide Engine and Powertrain Development, Fuel Cell, Hydrogen and Infrastructure, Renewable Fuels, Energy Storage Technologies / New Battery Technologies, Drivetrain Electrification / Hybrid Technologies, CO2 Reduction and Fleet Consumption / Life Cycle Analysis for Drivetrain Technologies, Exhaust Emission Control and New Legislation and Autonomous Driving / Connectivity.

Additional topics are Cross-Company Cooperations and Development Methods / Test Methods / Test Bench Equipment.

This prestigious symposium will be accompanied by a technical exhibition showcasing the activities and products of more than 50 different companies. Furthermore, participants and accompanying persons will be offered a varied social and cultural programme.

All lectures will be published both in German and English in the VDI (the German Association of Automotive Engineers) Progress Reports, including a USB-stick, and can be purchased from the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers (ÖVK).

Participants of the symposium have the option of downloading all lectures from previous Symposia which can be accessed via lecture search on this website.

The programme of the 41st Vienna International Motor Symposium is available as from December 9, 2019 and from this date onwards interested persons have also been able to make their paid reservations for this conference.
